Totaled the truck. Update (original post)

Well, I totaled my baby, I was on my way to the store to get new windshield wipers and price some new tires, and it was raining. As I was beginning to go down hill towards a street light I tapped the breaks to start to slow down, well after that I begin to hydro plane. I tried my best to break it, and just couldn't then the truck started to turn and the back wheels caught and shot me up on a median. I then reached for the break but my foot slipped and hit the gas pedal I then went across two lanes and up an embankment. I then turned the wheel to avoid hitting a fence and I hit a tree, the officer said I am lucky I am still alive because I hit my face on the steering wheel and cracked the windshield with my head. Crappy part is, is the night before I had put in a 150 dollar gas tank an had put 50 bucks of gas into it.





Ok, well I have an update for everyone.
So it starts out with me searching for something to get me around before we fixed the rx7, when all of a sudden I stumble upon a post for a b2200. Me being curious started to check it out, and became even more interested, so I contacted the poster by phone. I told him about what had happened and to make this shorter tonight we arranged for me to come and look at the truck. While there I discovered that the man selling the truck was none other than wrench who is a member here. Right now I am looking for a way to finish gathering all the money for the truck because I am in love with it as of right now.

That's definetly one of the more serious wrecks we've had on here.

Keep the truck if possible,and tear it down and part out what's good,then scrap the left overs. Atleast you'll get some money back that way,since you probably only have basic insurance on it and you won't get any compensation from the insurance company.

It's to late now, because when the police showed up, they had it towed to empound then when we went down there to see it, they wanted way to much to get it out, so my dad had me turn it over to them to cover the costs. So now, I am saving up from scratch to get the rx7 paid off and working reliably.

ah that sucks oh well...

Hopefully the RX7 won't be too much hassle to get going. However,you stated reliably...I don't know how well that will work out....

Wow. Definately sucks about the truck and VERY glad to hear you ended up much better than the truck. Good luck on the RX7.

i feel for you man. i rear ended a guy in july. luckily it was his fault. can't believe the part about the tow yard. that really sucks!! but i dont think there would be much left over after pulling the front end apart. i know what that islike! hope it works out for you!

As for the rx7 we are going to be pulling the engine and tranny to replace some of the linkage in it, because it keeps popping out of gear. The we also figure while we have the engine out we might as well check and replace any rotors that need it, and replace all the seals so even though I really need a car I would preffer to wait and geter done right so I don't have any problems to worry about later. Also, we may have an extra rotory engine and transmission of the 13b flavor out of our parts car if anyone is interested in it for there trucks.
