my friend and i put a weedeater motor on one of those a few years ago......clutch burned up the second we tried riding it, so we never got to.....

I would advise welding the other side anyways.

I can tell by all of the spatter, gas is waaay cleaner, I am running flux core right now too.

yea cleaning the flux off the welds is a biatch especially without a chipping hammer. i had to use a pair of dikes. do you think i would get better penetration if i went slower and spaced out my curves when im welding?

You should double pass...and by that it means the same side....

Do the first pass with a smaller bead, then go over it again...double pass does not tend to look as good.....but looks or strength....I'll take strength
