b2600i 4x4

planning on getting one for $400. guy said all it needs is a new wire harness to get it running. not sure if hes right but gonna go look 2maro wit my dad n see wats up. anyone kno if dese trucks have problems? or how much it would cost to replace the harness?

It's only worth buying if it's a 4x4 so you can use the fenders and bed.

2600's are known for bad headgaskets and bad ECU's,and ECU's for 2600's are extremely hard to come by and are not cheap.

I don't think the wire harness is the problem,it's most likely the ECU,because the ECU in my '90 2600 was fried.

Other than crappy 2.6 engines,there's nothing wrong with the 2600s,they're the same as a 2200 if it's 2WD body,interior and 90% mechanical wise.

If it's in good shape,buy it for parts and make some money off it. The 2600 I bought was for parts. I paid 500 for it and got about 1500 out of it selling parts from it.

which harness?? there's many. If its the engine harness, it shouldn't be too hard but good luck findin one.... I'm jus curious as to why it needs a harness... What happened? Find out WHY it won't start... No gas?? No spark?

wells i WAS supposed to go look at it today but RENT is coming up n i still dont have enuff money for that let alone 400 for the truck...sucks, if all it needed was an ecu i coulda had 2 running trucks hi and low
