rebuilding a Viar 480c???

Hey guys. I just had a friend give me a Viar 480c. The only thing is that it sounds like crap and smokes but does still run. Is there any reason why I shouldn't be able to rebuild it? I'm thinking of rebuilding it to replace the one on my truck and then rebuild the one on my truck and keep it for a spare until I bag the back.

I would rebuild it! Obviously needs some work..It shouldn't be smoking!

Good to know you can rebuild them, got two of those. I love them like I love my other pair........the ones I was born with and will be with me forever.
