new motor ran great...for 2 min.

I finally got my motor back in the maz today It fired on the second try and ran great for 2 min. Then I went to start it for the wife and all the starter does is click! checked all the connections and all were good, so now I guess Ill have to take the stater to get checked out Oh well at least I can say my first engine rebuild with out my dads help was a suckces Man I wanted to drive my truck today!

Sounds like a piss off.Best of luck and hope that its only the starter.

Found the problem, The ground strap for the battery was shot! All better now! But then I descovered that the carb is shot and leakn fuel like its free! So I said f it and ordered my weber 32/36 and a header! Screw the vacum line hell and computer crap!

A little up date, Stock carb was fine i think it was the o2 sencer and mixture along with timming off, oh well I did the weber/header swap anyway! I finally got the carb and header on this past weekend but no exhaust! Lets just say that I relly pissed the neighbors off running it straight out the header! No I didnt run it long Im smarter than that I just had to hear it! You know to see how good my mufler really is! lol Sounded strong now Ive got to do the exhaust and tune it!
