Clutch dead zone?

I hate hydraulic clutches. So anyways some of you may remember I had issues with this before and put in a new slave and master cylinder. It has been working fine for several months then all of a sudden started to loose pressure or get an air lock. Well After driving it for a bit with not complete pressure it made its way down to about 1/2 pressure and thats when I decided to try and fix it. I tried bleeding it and it immediately lost all of its pressure. I tried many different ways to get it to work and it wouldn't. When I pumped the clutch a whole bunch I did notice very tiny bubbles (more like foam) rising thru the reservoir. After pumping the clutch a trillion times it gained up to about half pressure and stopped. It is currently sitting at half pressure and no matter what I do, it will not gain any more pressure or anything like that.. It seems to have what I would call a 'dead zone' the first 1/2 of the clutch basically does absolutely nothing whereas the rest of it seems almost normal.

I am out of ideas I really need help now so I can get this back on the road!

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Zac

Ugh. Ok well its kind of amazing how things like this work out. So right after posting I thought to myself hey, maybe I should check the clutch linkage. And So I went straight out and did that and sure enough the linkage had somehow undone itself so I did it back up and it is completely fine.

Now I do have one question, the threshold of the clutch right now is RIGHT at the very end of the clutch stroke, and its quite annoying. How do I adjust it so I can get the threshold closer to like maybe 3/4?

Well I guess since this didn't cost me any money I am closer to doing my paint. In the next week or so I will be doing a complete garage paint job but I will be doing it completely professionally and properly. I'll write up a how to with pics and all of how to do a good paint job in your garage and show you all the correct materials to do all the body work and basically the entire process start to finish.

Thanks anyways!

It is supposed to have some free play in it so it wont wear out prematurely. Is the 3/4 inch play at the top of the stroke or just before it hits the rubber stop at the bottom?Since the linkage was disconnected,I would rebleed it and see if it works betterBJ

Well it has a little play just before the clutch at the top. It just doesn't seem to be engaging at the best point. I am going to play around with it tonight.
