Okay so I'd prefer if a few of you could get me some pictures.

Crawl under that truck of yours and take a picture of the driveshaft that goes into the transmission. As well take a picture of the carrier bearing.

What I'm trying to do is see if I have my driveshaft plunged too far into the tranny. What I suspect is that when me and my bro did my clutch we bolted the shaft back on and went too far in. Hence why I have a paculiar noise at the tranny that is getting on my nerves! If anyone can snap some fore me, I'd REALLY appreciate it!

If you can, take them looking straight up at the shaft from below!

i know this isn't a pic, but it shouldn't be all the way in. a common problem with lowering trucks is the driveline becomes 'too long' for the new lowered height. mine was plunged in almost all the way. that's why i'm having a slip yolk installed in the 2nd driveline at this very moment.

hahaha, I guess I walked into that one!

Well, speedster, I guess I was thinking that I could remedy it by pulling the rearend towards the back so I can pull it out a little bit so its no plunged in so far. I'm just wondering how much it plunges stock? I noticed that the carrier bearing had some old marks where the nuts crushed on the metal and I guess I could pull it back out that far?

Would'nt adjusting the links on the rear allow me to pull out the yoke from the transmission more without altering the pinion?
