i plan to throw a 350 LS1 Engine in my 88 B22 sometime very soon. just wondering if anyone else has done this with a LSx engine. Pics? any advice?

i do know that i want to go with the 350 LS1, i just trying to see if there is anyone else out there with a LS1 Powered B...

i plan to go the same route as my car. Fast 90mm Intake & 90mm throttle body, lingenfelter cam, longtube headers... the works.

might as well add a TH400 and a 9 inch Ford rear to ur shopping list.Mazda tranny and rear will not last long with a modified 350.BJ

How are you only getting 9mpg? My granpas old F250 with a 460 gets about 9 but its old, big, inneficient, carbed, etc. Why go with 4.10s? The LS has plenty of power unless your building a truck for the 1/4 miles, then I say 3.73 or the like. Are you looking to go fi or carbed?

dropped90: if ur talking about v8mazda, that engine in his garage is an lt1. Do you know if it even runs, the pics look like its being built.

the truck will be fi. the car is fi. i have an extremely heavy foot. i dont drive it much on the road cause of gas prices. when i drive it, i lay into her pretty hard. i think if i was on a highway or something id prob get aroung 15 or 16 mpg. where i live is a small town, lotsa stop signs and stop lights. so its all stop and go.

i might not go with 4:10s in the truck, i may actually go with 3:73s

heck you could even put some where in the 3.25 gear range. i had a freind that had an old 305 in an s10 that could smoke the tires with the factory gears in it from the 4 banger setup with 295/50 15's.
