B2200 EFI ...who out there has this setup?

I am about to buy another Mazda...its an 87 with a crate engine and EFI added. Guy is a friend and told me this setup was only available in Cali. Just wondering how many of yall are running the 2200 EFI. I am thinking I should find a spare ECU as well since the one he has in the truck has been repaired once already.....and apparantly I will not find any of these in my east coast junk yards, lol

If I understand correctly, the EFI was a California/Canadian setup. Since there are several of our northern brothas on here, I'm sure SOMEONE could hook you up with a spare ECU!

no clue if my parts truck was efi or not engine was gone when i bought it

I own 2. Pretty common here in Cali.

I think all of our 91 - 93 B2200's were FI. My brother in law has a 91 and it is the only one here that I have seen.

Lots in Southern Ontario.

Would some of yall keep an eye out for a spare ECU for me please? If your hitting the junk yards or if you know of a parts truck some where. I just want to keep a spare ECU handy JUST IN CASE.....but especially since the one in the truck i am getting had already been repaired once already.

u will find some 2200 FI trucks in Cali,wash stste ,oregon and in Canada,plus a few have migrated elsewhere,but those three states and Canada were where they were shipped.BJ

thanks....thats why i figured i would post something on here...enough of our members are on the west coast and i am sure someone will run across one sometime.
