really need some help here

1-2 times a week, when i am going to school in the morning at apporx. 6:45am my truck dies on me at the exact same spot. it cranks up fine first thing in the morning, and then drives fine until i reach one spot, and then it just randomly dies on me. then once i get it to a complete stop, it cranks up like nothing happen after about 2 tries. anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?

when you try to crank it back up, does your dash lights come on or not?

yeah, they come back on.

Only 3 things required to get a truck to run-fuel,air and spark.If it stops,one of those 3 things arent present.If it stops at the same place each time,I would be 99% that it is fuel related.How long since fuel filter changed?May also be the in-tank filter is clogged up-fuel all drains back into tank at nite and in am truck is running off fuel in fuel bowl.When that is empty it stops.When u crank it a time or two,it sucks enough gas past the filter to run again.How about fuel delivery?Is ur fuel pump working ok?Should be able to hear a solenoid click when u turn key on.How about gas cap?Is the gasket ok and is it sealing good?Those would be my suggestions to start the trouble shooting process.bj
