Well, I am heading out to the junkyard saturday for the first time, I am obviously going to be searching for some b's. But I have one question, what kind of tools should I bring, I know I will be looking for 2 new doors, a tach cluster, and possibly a new seat. Oh and also a power steering pump, strong arm is gettin a little old.
phillips screwdriver, 10,12,13,14,17,19 and 21mm sockets, flathead screwdriver, pliers, sidecutters, vicegrips, sawzall, johnson bar for reefing on your ratchet for those crappy rusty old bolts that won't come undone, but you're going to snap the heads off anyways... and a BFH for when you get angry.

time.
i think i have a power steering pump in the shed
Damn Mikey !! you would think you have done this once or twice eh !!
Mike says he has one to, I am going to go check out the junkyard first, because then I won't have to worry about shipping.
Yep...what Mikey said. I also like to take my battery powered impact , ratchet and an old towel, for laying on and wiping hands etc. Those handiwipes are nice too, so you don't drag that sh%t in the truck with you. My yard lets me take my cart in too, which makes it easy to carry all those tools and the parts out. The yard I go to gets new stuff every Tuesday, so I try to go every week or so.
Ironic part is I've never been junkyarding for B2200's...unless you counted my collection of trucks as a junk yard. LOL
thats a pretty good sounding junkyard tool kit for just about anything import...i have one of those small Craftsman tool bags with all that ( minus the big tools ) and a lil more in it....i can just about take anything off of an import that i need to and can carry the bag easily in one hand....invaluble! Also good to have in the truck just in case
