Viair New 400 Series!!!

I just thought I would let you guys know, if you didn't already, that Viair has come out with 4 New Compressors!!

They now have a 490C, 492C, 495C, 497C

Just an example to show you hos bad-ass they are:

490C Compressor

5 Gallon Tank
0-200psi 5min. 10sec.

Amp Draw: 40 Amps

COMPARED TO

480C Dual Pack

5 Gallon Tank
0-200psi 5min. 2sec.

Amp Draw: 39.3 Amps (both units)


So needless to say that just 1 of the new style could easily compete with the dual packs...

The Bag Shack will carry all of these models in stock in the coming weeks...

How does the fill times compair to the AZ compressors? I know each AZ pulls around 40 amps so that part is comperable.

Well just doing some rough math...

The AZ puts out 1.24CFM @ 140PSI

The 490C puts out 1.58CFM @ 140PSI

So I would imagine that the 490C would have a bit faster fill time...?

But after the last batch of bad AZ compressors I would either go for a Viair or wait until AZ puts out the New Design in the summer of '08

Plus AZ compressors are HUGE when it comes to size in comparison to Viair...

The 492C, 495C, 497C are significantly less CFM for the reason that they are not rated at 200psi...

damnit, wouldn't you know. just as soon as i buy my 480 dual pack. oh well.

I am pretty sure you wouldn't be able to get a 490C for the price I sold you the dual pack for...

I don't have access to pricing yet, but I imagine they will be a pretty penny..

You dual pack will be well worth the price though!

Lance at VIAIR hooked me up on my old s-10 with dual chrome 380s. Best compressors I have used hands down. heres are couple pics.
