t-tops

I was at the junkyard today n i was lookin at a nissan 300zx, it has t tops on it n i was thinkin that that'd be badass on my truck. Do you guys think it'd be possible, or better yet, has anyone done it before? Post pics if you have em Thanks for any input

Anything that has to do with cutting into your roof is sketchy to me, 'cause one slip and your effed!

targa top, you can ( or used to be able to ) buy a kit for that....putting another vehicles t-tops into your roof would just about ( or WOULD ) require the roof of both vehicles to be exactly the same...you have to factor in the curve of the roof for instance. And a best case scenario you would want to cut the seats\frame that the t-tops sit in...again...needing the roofs of both vehicles to match...which is extremly unlikely. Ya never know though....there is a freak chance that you could cut the frame outa the donor car and weld it right into your roof with no mods...I seriously doubt that though. One other think to consider is that you would HAVE to remove at least the TOP frame of you door and work it so that you close the door the glass rests in the T-top.

I have thought about this soooo many times. I love T Tops. You may be able to fab up some frames and get pieces of glass custom cut. Hell for that matter steel t tops would still be just as kool. Keep us posted for sho.

I wish i had taken a pic, i will next time i go. I was thinkin i could cut the roof out jus around the edge so i could have the frame and everything. I dunno, i think the door would be the only real problem. I guess i'll check it out, i;m with you though, jmz, i think it'd be killin!

with a sawzall and a welder,you can accomplish pretty much anything. Not necessarily gonna be pretty...

well trust me i wont hack up my truck, im not gonna sacrafice it jus so i can have t tops, haha. I'd def make sure it'd look cool before i did it, n i'd rather have t tops than a targa.... is that the same as a ragtop?? anyway, ima check it out before cuttin anything

nah a targa top is like what the supras and del sols had.
