on the back of my alternator, i got a yellow wire with blue stripe. it's just hanging. Does anyone know where it goes. This may have something to do with why my alternator is not charging.

I think I remember someone telling my that the wire on the back of the alternator goes to the electric choke. Does you truck ever have trouble starting when it's cold or ever for that matter?

it does, but it's got a manual choke on it, so that wouldn't matter. That's what I was told earlier too, but thanks... guess I still need an alternator, or need to get this one rebuilt.
