So I finally bought myself a TIG welder. I don't know how long I have wanted one now, but I finally got one! Its scheduled to get here on Friday. So I went and bought a new Argon bottle, some fancy TIG gloves, and 10# of ER70S2 in 3/32" and 1/16" sizes. I just need to pick up a bunch of tungsten, just couldn't remember what size collet the welder came with, so I will go back tomorrow. Now all thats left is to get good at it.

Oh yeah, I bought a Lincoln.

I've had enough of what Miller considers "Customer Service".

Is it square wave or water cooled?

What do you mean square wave OR water cooled? Lol, they have no relation to each other. But yes it is square wave, with auto pulse settings. And its air cooled for now. I will get a water cooler later on when I can afford it. For now I'm just going to upgrade to a gas lens and run with it.

But from now on most of the parts I sell will be offered MIG and TIG welded.

If you don't mind me asking how much did you give for it? Did you get a good deal?

I paid $1900 for the welder itself. I paid for it right before the price increase. They are around $2100 now. I've got about $350 invested in a new bottle, some TIG gloves, and 20# of wire. I still need about $100 worth of Tungsten.

congrats on the purchase, I'm with some of the other guys & thought you were gonna say you went & got hitched!

I wouldn't mind learning how to tig myself, but since I have a mig machine, the next thing i really want is a plasma cutter.....it will cut fab time in 1/2!
