depends on how good you are with tools and general mechanics...

I changed my clutch in my 1st B2000 in right at an hour.

it should take about a day to remove the driveshaft, drop the trans, change the clutch, clean some stuff such as bellhousing and what not. The ugly ass 4x4 fenders and bed are supposedly worth 600 though.

For a b2600 4x4, that is a very sweet deal! A clutch is about $110 off of ebay and for someone who has'nt done it, and especially on a b2600, it should take a couple days at the most!

Worth the learning experience instead of taking it to a shop.

If you have a large jack, you should have her in the air far enough to not have too much of a hassle of it being up in your face when wrenching and whatnot.

GO FOR IT! They are getting harder to come by...

Buy it. Worth more money to you in parts alone.

You could probably get $400 or 500 for the wheels alone, and 500 for the bed and fenders.

went to see the truck today...checked inside the radiator seen a little brownish yellowish shit. was surprised that the car started(took 2 tries) after sitting for a year...checked the oil little dark and thick... alot of blue smoke came out of the exhaust(its a bad thing right?) bed is rusted through above driver side rear wheel. other than that i think i could work with it..gotta talk it over with my wife. could be my daily driver if i fix it up...any thoughts ? or i can by it and sell parts off of it..but who would buy rusted panels and fenders right..?

as i was leaving i realize fuck i should have taken pic of it with my camera phone....lady also said that some dude was on his way with a trailer..so i may be out of luck on this truck ...oh wellz...

Sounds a little sketchy?

But ultimately could be a good deal!

4x4 beds are worth their weight in gold even if they are rusty. Rust is repairable, and rust makes a good excuse to customize.
