What is the best way to ship a complete engine? Which companies would do this. Any info would be great.

Thanks,

make you a small wooden crate doesn't have to be much, get a pallet, put a solid floor on it, and box it in big enough to fit the engine.....just make sure it is sturdy enough to be handled with a forklift and make it through the transit process....

you'll have to use one of the freight carriers as I doubt that ups or fed ex will ship it for ya, and if they do, they would probably charge you twice as much as a regular freight carrier. when I shipped my engine up to chitown to be cryo treated, I used rlcarriers, the crate, engine, 4 rotors, flywheel came in 300# & it cost me @ 170 to ship it.....

here are a couple links....

Thanks man. I'd like to buy the F2T stuff off baggedb22. And I didn't want to pay more for shipping than the engine. I was looking at UPS and FedEX and its real real steep. It almost made me sik. lol I'll take a look at those links.

Hey they ask for a shipping class for the estimate. Do you know what this is?

not right off hand i can't be positive, but for some reason class c or d comes to mind, you could call your local terminal & ask them....

one other quick note, if the engine isn't drained of fluids, then it will be considered flamable / hazardous, and they will charge you extra to ship it.
