Ok I am quite possibly finnaly going to get a project truck. It is a clean 87 B2200 Ex Cab with A/C. They claim it just quit running one day...no big deal, easy fix I am sure. My question is how are the automatic tranny's? I have only had five speeds. Are there any issues with these when lowering/ bagging that you wouldn't have w/ a five speed?
Thanks!
When i bought mine, they said the same thing. I poured in some atf and It came to life. I changed out the modulator valve and it quit smoking. Goodluck with your purchase.
my 89 was at a repair shop for about 3 yrs before i bought it. i rebuilt the engine and have been driving it for the last 2.5 yrs with no problems with the auto tranny, knock on wood. it is static dropped about 4" in the front and about 5" in the rear for now.
replace the tranny filter first off and do a fluid change
Kool guys thanks. I think I am going to be getting this. Need to run the VIN # to make sure it is not stolen and then $250 and it will be mine. I figure at that price even if the motor is shot I got my money's worth.
if the tile matches the vin you should be just fine
