Seriously, is anyone out of their mind enough yet to undertake writing a tech article on a how to for airbag suspension on the mazda trucks?
There has to be someone on here like v8 or twisted that does a bag setup more often than alot of us! Why after all this time is there not one in the tech section? I would have thought that someone would have been motivated enough to write one, no?
I would be willing to write one, but c'mon, I have yet to even have a bag setup on my own truck under my belt! Do you seriously think that you want to wait so I can write it instead off of my first bag setup?
You must think this guy is crazy. Why does he feel we need to have a write-up? I'll explain a little:
1. Firstly, I know you all like whoring, but when a question arises, what can you do besides type an explanation redundantly? Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the fact people will stand up and ask, but how nice would it be to just say, "Hey, go here: (link to airbag techie)" and you will find your answers!
2. Alot of us don't have the luxury of a fellow minitrucker to help us out on a setup. Why let us be ignorant to the whole idea and educate us out of it!
3. Knowing how to do it right the first time!
4. Resorting to one section for airbag help that is focused on only just that. By doing so, people will have it easier to just keep reading the thread and finding their answer, eventually, instead of searching all day for it in the search function.
Ok, 'am I even getting through to you guys at all? Lol... don't let the bscene get the write-up by me! I plead the 5th...

Aman Brother!!!!!
Would have saved me allot of search time. But the best part is that when i do ask a ?? people give responce instead of saying....search and find it...they are more than happing to help ya out!!

Yes we definitely need to get a tech from the very beginning...but I figured that I had a couple minutes and every little bit counts.
I am sure it will help out, and cut down on all the repeated threads.
Thanks,
Dev

This is good and all,but there are always variations to every theme. Nobody's bag job on their Mazds is identical to the next guy's Mazda.

1. I agree about asking, Craig. Although, I would say that once we have these techies up and running, once you really do have an honest question all you will have to do is just say, "I have already read the techies on how to airbag, but I'm still lost!"
Then, you can surely feel safe that you won't be inconveniencing anyone!
V8! I surely would love to see you do a rear setup for sure! I know your a busy man though, so don't stress it and if you want to do it, I would say just write a little by little until its done. You put out some really nice work!
Yes, and if it were me writing it, I would make sure I would include pictures from the moment you take the tire off to the very last weld!
There is no reason for the person who writes the tech that they cannot go through and revise it...
Mikey, I understand there will be variables in the situation but there are principles to go off of. As long as certain aspects are covered, say like, pinion angle. No matter how different the link setups are, as long as the pinion is the same, it would be fine.
This whole techie IMO for those who write it, is to familiarize people on here about the whole process and to educate them. If someone reads about it first and gets many visuals on how things go, hence why directions are made and should be read first with products, the same will apply here.
I know its not rocket science and all, but when you go and buy the parts and then have to ask people and are not fully imformed, you are bound to make some sweat-worthy mistakes.
On the side note, I would highly recommend covering more aspects of the bag process than just the process!
IF you could also include:
1. SAFETY
2. Specifics and thorough detailed explanations
3. Tools of the trade
4. Required experience, such as knowing how to use a welder, and doing it right
5. System maintainenance of the bag setup
I'm sure by covering these, it will certainly help take out the guesswork of it and also keep yourself from being liable in anyways for someones neglect, especially, safety!
