i had cranked my old truck up and down maybe 3 times... on the last time, which was up. 2 days later... it broke while driving

They should not snap, they are grade 10.8. If they do snap, you are doing something terribly wrong.

twisted is right, it would be more likely that the fingers on the torsion bar would break before the bolt would....unless the bolt was bent or something of that nature...

it shouldn't snap.... it will however strip... when lowering mine for the (i don't know what time) the bolt on the passenger side stripped out and pulled out of the hanger.... i have a parts truck out back.... if you need a set of them..... $15 shipped

I think all six of your current posts were about Torsion bolts.
Seriously though, they wont break unless you try some stupid crap like an air gun or something.
You are jacking the truck up before you turn the bolt, right?

wow. creative? sure. spell check? no. poor kid needs to learn patience. he posts like 6 different posts about one thing, say something about it and he goes all psycho in my PM box. I'm really sorry dude. i didn't realize you were so fragile. i wouldn't have mentioned it.
