ive been thinking a lot about it lately and came into work this morning and see people have been posting about lifting their trucks, i have seriously been thinking of building a prerunner mazda, i have an extra one, i was thinking of just straight axles and one hell of a 4 link system, either using fox coil overs or bags, but put the frame at about 3-4' off of the ground and using a small block ford engine, just something i can jump and have fun with, its been really big on the west coast and ive just been wanting to build one for a while, so when i finish my mazda ive got going now i might just build another one.

what "classifies" it as a pre-runner?

2wd, jacked up, just something to go about 100mph in and jump, kinda like a baha truck

id use an injected 4.3 and be getting rid of the torsion bars and leafs. you need long travel coils
would be cool to build if you have the money

well i planned on running the link bars almost all the way under the truck, meeting like under the cab, id be using straight axles, i dont even think i own torsion bars anymore, lol, but like i said using either Fox coilovers, or just bags mounted on the bars at the pivot points
