Will any 6 lug rim fit our 6 bolt pattern???

I know the the lug pattern is 6x5.5
So are all 6 lug rims this size or are there other sizes for a 6 lug?

I was also checking these out on eBay right now. seem to be in great shape:


these fit our mazdas right? does anything have to modified to tuck these?

From what Ive found, no. Any import 6-lug will work (nissan/toyota 4wd/isuzu). GM 6-lug will work, but you either have to bore out the centers of the wheel, or grind off those little tabs on the spindle and grind the hub down on the rear. That is a good deal on those Z-71s that you found on ebay. There again though, you will eitehr have to have them bored or do what I was saying. Also Dakotas and those other Dodges are 6-lug but they are like 4 on 4.5, and will not fit our 6-lugs. Also this comes into play when you order aftermarket wheels. I have found that you can grind the hubs down on a spindle and the drum alot cheaper than you can pay a machine shop to machine those down. Not everyone will agree with me on this, but I dont like the looks of a GM wheel that has been bored out. There is like a 1/4 inch or less bewtween the center hole and the lug holes and on a aluminum wheel thats not very comforting to me.

no. not all 6 lug rims are the same. MOST are 6x5.5 which is like mazda toy mitsu chevy gmc caddy. but the new ford 6 bolt and the lincoln navigators and aviators are not 6x5.5 (6x139) they are 6x137. so they are JUST a little bit different. so it doesnt fit. so dont but navi rims unless your willing to redrill the hubs for the different bolt pattern. hope that helps

they dont fit without modification. he either had the rim bored out to fit on the bigger mazda lug pattern or he got the hubs redrilled for that bolt pattern.

which in the end isnt really worth it in my opinion

don't forget there is also the dakota and durango pattern which i believe is a 6 on 5"pattern

there is also another pattern that is bigger that they used on some of the toyota duel wheels(dually)

how about jeep i just saw on cl i nice set of wheels 6 lug but for jeep they fit ?
