Here she is, I call her Madalyn.

I took a picture or two of the engine bay after I took the intake and carb off.

I have since taken the engine bay down to nothing to wash and paint the block and head.

I was going to take the head off and do the rings but since I didn't have a real problem before I figure I will wait until I need it.

here's another picture of the truck and dirty girl's engine.

I have alot of oil sweat and sludge on the outside of my 91's block. I had a valve cover leak, as the previous owner didn't tighten it, so shes a little dirty. Plan on cleaning it up? She looks real good.

thanks guys I wish she ran good. ive been struggling to get it running good. it sounds really poppy and sputter. I think its a timing thing. I've verified gas and spark are good and the carb settings aren't making too much difference and it starts sounding really smooth around 3000 rpms so I figure its got to be timing thing. I have a post about it up in engines 2.2l

Hmmm yea I'd say since you have fuel and spark and starts but runs a little rough at idle or low speeds, sounds like a timing issue maybe off a tooth or a possible valve sticking.

sorted out the timing with a little tinkering.

moved on to an interior project doing the door panels.

here's how they turned out.
