new member 86 b2000

Hey fellas. i just joined because i picked up my first mazda truck and it seemed like the right place to go. my truck is a lil 86 b2000. i bought her for 500 bucks thinking i could use her as work truck and maybe use for delivering pizzas, which is what i do to pay for a couple college classes. my brother told he had a friend with a badass 5speed 4 cyl so i bought it on trust. turns out blown head and 249,xxx miles. so i figure now i have a project truck to have some fun with might as well trick it out at least a little bit since i already do have a reliable daily driver. she has rack and pinion steering which i had no idea mazda provided in their tucks. i was just curious if anyone wanted to show off a little bit and give me some ideas.
oh and by the way iv'e been doing some reading about a kia sportage swap and was wondering how hard it would be on my truck since it is currently carb'd and any tips. my buddy is a mechanic and told me it would be cool to stash my car there and work on it, so i have access to a pretty good variety of tools, but i'm really interested if anyone had any advice about wiring the thing in

Can you post up pics of the rack and pinion? I've never see. A stock on with that. Welcome man. The Kia swap is popular for sure and it's a damn good swap of you can get the motor cheap. Where are you located? And post up pics!
