Hi, I used to putt around on Mazdatruckin. Have not had to post anything in awhile. I have a 1993 B2200 regular cab, short box, with EFI, and a 5 speed. My truck has no options, the only one being a sliding rear window. The truck has 310,000KM on it, and does not show it, there is no rust underneath, thanks to a very thorough undercoating job, even th front suspension looks new, it also has a spray in box liner, so the box is perfect. The truck is originally from BC according to the owners manual, which also has a purchase date of September 1993 (sorta late for a 93 model). I currently live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

I am just in the process of rebuilding the motor, my intake gasket blew from what I can tell 2 days before I had planned to pull the motor anyway. I do have plans to install a rotary motor in this truck, I am thinking of a Series 4 or 5 naturally aspirated 6 port one with fuel injection to start with, once I get good a tuning and all that stuff, I will look at upgrading to a turbo rotary.

Pictures from when I bought it (for $500, with 292,000KM):

These seats have been added by a previous owner, I think they are out of a 70's Buick or something lol, quilted black vinyl sides and back, and quilted white sheepskin face. And of course, they had to weld the seat rails to the floor of the truck.

From what I can tell, partway through 91 the Canadian models all went to EFI. Every (Canadian) 92 and 93 I've ever seen has been EFI, and I understand about halfway through 91 they switched to EFI. I think the California models were similar - trying to meet the tougher Cali smog standards, they started selling EFI trucks into Cali - I'm not certain about this, but there seems to be more EFI trucks from Cali than the other states.

IDK about the Canada models, but my Cali , 91 is EFI.

Welcome to the site I joined about three weeks ago and really like the site. My first b22 was an efi motor but Im also from cali and that's were I had it. Now I have the beast in my signature lol, its a 91 carburated motor b2200 but I also reside in Minnesota now. So 300,000 miles huh dam that's an accomplishment but these Mazda motors are tuff so not too surprised but still awesome to see tho
