Hey all, I wanted to stop in and introduce myself. My name is James, I'm an ASE Certified master technician from North Carolina. I recently acquired a LOW mileage '86 B2000 SE-5 from my father, he has owned if for the last 10-11 years, and I learned to drive a stickshift on this thing lol. I will be posting a few pictures soon, it has 93k original miles, and is mostly bone stock and has not been touched aside from the few mods I have done to it in the last few days (HID headlights, 3" static drop). I don't have many photos of it yet, but here is one to hold everyone over

Thanks man I really appreciate it. I will be sure to post a lot of progress photos along the way. Not too sure how nuts I am going to go with it just yet, I mainly (for now) want to find some factory Tahoe 20s, and dump it some more. Swap some interior bits out (protege buckets, rx7 shifter) and drive it. It's wayyyyyy too clean of a truck to hack up just yet lol

I've got s4 or s5 rx7 buckets in mine. And for a short shifter I just lopped like 5 or 6 inches out of mine. Where at in nc are you?

I'm up in Greensboro. If I can find FC buckets I will def go that route. And as for the shifter, I'm more looking for a shorter throw as opposed to shorter height. I'm too used to driving my DSM with it's insanely short throw shifter in it haha

Welcome, fair bit of NC guys here. Truck looks good. When I saw the TSi in your name I got excited and thought you might own a Conquest, but then I saw you're a DSM'er. Nice looking Talon! Love the CBR as well.

I appreciate the compliments guys! My Talon is my baby, I've had her about 4 years now. Only downside is it's not AWD Lsumazdarider, I will keep that in mind, I want to try to find a 2600i hood for it eventually, and maybe a few other misc things.

In case you can't tell in that photo, the paint is EXTREMELY faded on the truck, to the point where I think all the clear is gone haha. Sometime this summer, I'm going to redo the paint, and spray it back the stock white ( I used to be a painter before I made turning wrenches my career)
