Truck will not start.

Hi everyone. I recently bought a 84 b200. It does not want to start. Definitely electrical. When I turn the key to accessory the lights and radio come on. When i turn to start every thing cuts out under the load. Then nothing cut on on the second attempt. Any idea would be appreciated.

Check battery then starter. Just because all the lights light up doesnt mean there is enough power to engage the starter.

Sounds like ignition switch...try hot wiring it

get a new battery
