Don't remember if I ever did one of these, BUT.... My story

I was initially drug into the mini truck scene by a buddy who just got his first vehicle. A Dodge Ram 50 single cab. He wanted me to do research and check out all the stuff we could do to it. I started at MightyD50.com and got majorly involved in the community there and the mini truckin scene. I even flew to North Carolina and stayed with a MD50 member for Pebble Pushers Scr8pfest 2007. Had a blast and yet still did not own my own truck. When I got back I bought this beauty of a B from my buddies friend from school who said the engine was blown. 700 bucks and the B was mine. I started by ripping out the engine and rebuilding her. I got the entire engine overhauled and rebuilt with all forged internals with the intent on getting it boosted. When the engine was done and before throwing it in I bought a new clutch kit for her and stuck it all together. She purred like a kitten. I loved the feel behind the wheel and couldn't stop driving her. She was still on those god awful AR wheels with two of which being chipped and busted. I ran on that setup until the front tires kept burning up. Found the suspension up front was bad. In this I got new parts and installed them myself for the love of working on my own truck myself. When I put the new suspension up front I lowered the torsion and got some 3" drop blocks and static dropped her stance. She was beautiful, aside from the ugly ass blue paint. I proceeded to sand her down doing a little sheetmetal bodywork with a hammer and dolly as well as my first ever attempt with bondo. It faired decently and I primed her down with a black primer rattlecan style. She was perfect for me, I put in my system from my car and could not have been more in love at that time. Not long after my alternator and battery started to fail. Replaced them both. Headlights next, replaced with eBay (projector) headlamps; they burnt the wiring never get them. I then set to the streets again and before I could do anything else some idiot kid, 20 years of age, drunk and driving a stolen Land Rover side swiped me and pushed the bed into the frame as well at the back corner of the cab, smashed the pass fender and door as well. Still ran great but undrivable. Hit and run, He didn't stop, though I found it funny as hell watching that LR take off with fire and sparks spewing out from underneath it. I took the truck back to my dads and pulled the bed. Still drove it as it was my only vehicle at the time. I then found a fault in the fuel delivery and when I tried to clean the carb it broke into small pieces and I said to hell with it and bought and installed a Webber Redline carb. At the same time I bought a Pacesetter header. I got the truck back running and got back on the road with her. Got a new bed and being the only B series in a junkyard worth a damn and for a decent price I bought the bed from a single cab not thinking as well as the fender. Replaced the fender, easy job. Put the bed up to it and no go. Had to modify again. Me and my dad set to work, cutting 9" out of the length of the bed from the front wall to the wheel well. Re-welded it together and bondoed the sides up and sealer/primered it. The rear of the cab at this time was also pulled out bondoed and sealed/primed. Started driving and the slave cylinder blew out. Replaced it and it blew out as well. Replaced the master cylinder and slave cyl at the same time. No go. The system was failing me, and so I put a piece of a small bolt in the piston tube of the master cylinder and voila, it worked. Drove this way for a few weeks and the clutch went out again mid drive across the huge city of Houston and then my gear would no longer change. I had locked the shifter into a gear and could not shift it out of gear at all. Pulled the trans and pulled the trans apart to fix the issue, nothing out of place besides the fingers. I put it all back together and reinstalled it. Worked fine for about 30 minutes and BAM, locked it back into another gear. Pulled the trans and said screw it, bought another trans and put it in as well as a new Drive shaft. Noticing the headers had been sitting in my closets after moving 3-4 time already in the past 2-3 years My dad told me to pull it and put it on this lady, so we did. Yesterday I put a new full center console from a B2600 as well as new mirrors and stock chrome wheels on the back to replace the AR wheels. The front were replaced a while back due to the huge cracks with stock Ram50 wheels.
So now she sits, 3 colors, 2 sets of wheels, and a multitude of customization though all of it amateur at best and though 4 years older then when I bought her, she is gorgeous to me. I just got her inspected and registered yesterday as well, so she is ready for the road again. 13000 miles on the entirety of the drivetrain since I've started rebuilding her. The clutch still seems as if it wont totally disengage preventing me from shifting flawlessly and without force. I think this may be due to the old original clutch hose leaking. I plan on replacing it ASAP. Will get some pictures up in a few moments.

Would never junk her.... I've thought about it many a time.... but I can't do it. Shes my baby, I still plan on dropping her on bags and laying frame, but I want to do it on titan wheels non chrome with it being reliable enough to Daily Drive. I can't get anyone from SD to answer me on a decent setup these days for that type of setup I am needing.

hmmm, leaking clutch hose might cause you to experience that, but there might be an adjustment that you would need to make inside the master as well. Sadly I worked at a transmission shop for quite a while and never did a single master/slave job (Atlanta, lots of stop and go, very few manuals most automatics.)

been driving her all day, no one really understands love of your vehicle until you've been through every hard time and good time with it.
