New guy from Pittsburgh

Hey guys, I'm new to the Mazda scene, but not new to the mini scene. I have a 97' bagged S10 and my girlfriend has an 88' B2200 that is bagged in the rear and lowered in the front. Gonna be looking into bagging the front this fall or winter. She had the truck before we started dating, so all of the work done on it was before I came into the picture, lol. So I'm trying to familiarize myself with them because they are pretty different than chevy's.

Anyways, I also picked up a 1990 B2600 5 speed 4x4 with 146,000 miles over the winter. Pretty dirty in this picture, but last night I took it to the car wash and power washed the whole under side and cleaned the body. I'm going to coat everything underneath with that rubberized undercoating spray. The interior is in great condition. I gave that a full detail a couple weeks ago. It doesn't look anywhere near 20 years old.
Got the truck for $360. It had a cracked frame, but I patched that up last night. I plan on doing some spray on bedliner on the bottom portion of the body line and to fix the rust on the bottom of the doors and fenders.
I also want to put bigger tires on it. What is the largest I can run with stock suspension height?

Welcome to the site! Good lookin trucks, I remember watching the your build thread for your s10 on s10forum. My buddy has 31's on his 4x4 with stock suspension.

Welcome to the Bscene. I like the trucks you got. I would go no bigger than 31's then you start loosing power and so forth if you haven't already lost enough with 31's.

Yep, I got a pretty long build thread on S10Forum of my truck over the years. It's come a long way and I've learned a ton working on it.


I will probably sell the S10 before we ever sell her B22 (no plans to sell either as of now). S10's are just too common. I'm looking forward to helping finish her truck and get some more attention with that at the shows.

Thanks for the input on the 31's. I was thinking the same. Glad to hear they will fit!

One other question I had.., on my 4x4, all the lights and everything work, but my cluster lights are not working. I tried messing with the dimmer switch but nothing is happening. Any ideas? I checked all the fuses on the left side of the dash. All were good.
