hey dudes, I just joined the mazda b scene, have been reading on the site for a few weeks.
last month I bought an 88 b2200 w/blown head gasket for $300. Just got it running today, will make it legal tomorrow.
I am formerly a toyota tacoma scenester, and am still a nissan maxima <3'r and scenester.
my first was an 87 dodge ram50, which was very similar to this b2200
my daily driver is an 03 mazda 6, which has given me enough trouble that i won't likely own another.
i'm not sure how far i will go with this mazda.
i always wanted one, and couldn't pass up the deal for this one that i saw on craigslist.
i cranked on the torsion bars, which is a new concept for me. will likely lower the back with blocks.
i'd like to get a header to replace the ridiculous exhaust recirculation.
is ebay the best place? i saw some for ~$160.
does anybody swap in power steering on these trucks? or do you just deal with it?
any members from the tulsa, ok area?
you guys seem friendlier than the other boards i'm used to. good writeups and info here.

my girlfriend owns an 03 mazda 6. its the 4cyl version and its a big turd. im fighting a vacuum leak around the intake area that keeps popping the cel on and making it idle funny. i told her she should have sold that bitch when she had the chance....lol

dude i checked my CELs and I had like 11 errors, no joke.
but it runs fine so i said screw it, its been on for 60k.
i had to replace the TB cuz it would seizure every once in awhile w/erratic idle & no power.
i've had the weirdest things break on me. like going down the highway @ 75 and some random piece of plastic underneath would come loose and blow away...
ha, other than that, its a fun car.
wish i could put the drivetrain into this b2200
