New to the forum... got work to do

Hi All, just found the forum, but also a noob to doing my own work. Tech savvy, but lots to learn.

I've got an '89 & '90 B2600i 4x4, both 5-speeds. Yes, I've got two. I just bout the '89, and I was going to use one for parts, and combine the two into one solid truck. Depending on how it goes, I might actually end up building two complete trucks. We'll see. As it is, both run, and are road ready. Just that each one has different needs.

Anywho... my issue, on the '90, the clutch is getting worn, and throwout bearing is humming in neutral. Planning on doing this myself when the weather warms. Anyone done this, and have any suggestions on the best way to get to the two bolts on top of the bell housing?

Also, on the '90, I suspect that the head gasket is bad. I used a gasket sealer and it has improved operation, though it never overheated and I never had really white exhaust. What can I do to tell if the head gasket is really okay, or if it's something else? How do you pressure test the rad?

On the '89, the drivetrain is pretty solid, as is the engine, but could use some fine tuning. The interior and body need most of the work, but that seems less of an issue.

Or, if it's too much to answer all this, how about directing me to shop manuals (not a Chilton's or a Haynes)?

Welcome to the scene. I'm sure some of the motorheads on here will be able to help out. You might have to make a new post about your problem, sometimes not everybody reads this section.
