My name is Dave, I live on Vancouver Island B.C. and I have a Mazda B2600 Cab Plus 4x4. I bought the truck used for $900. The truck was originally in pretty rough shape, but i had some pretty big plans. At the time I was about 15 and working at a local automotive shop. While working here i would arrive an hour early and leave an hour late just so i could have 2 hours a day to devote to my truck. After sand blasting the rust spots and the whole frame, I decided that i needed to get a new box, the original was just to far gone. I managed to find one off another junked up B2600 at the shop and quickly made the exchange. rather than paying for it i just worked a few weekends to pay it off. I also yanked the interior from another Mazda, replacing my old Burnt Red nasty colur to a nice gray. I then Painted The necessary parts that i couldn't replace and started on the body work. ABout 40 hours of bondo, blocking, and sanding and she was ready for the primer. Due to money constraints, I didn't yank the engine or spray the interior. Although, to this day, I regret not doing it. I decided to go with a BMW sort of dark metallic gray. Replaced all the handle and what not with chrome and brought her home. This is where the story takes a tragic turn. I Ran out of money!!! Now about 4 years later i'm still trying to finish this truck. doing whatever i can possibly do on limited funds. I have to get pretty much the most expensive stuff. The tires and the Stereo. I also need a new exhaust, fuel tank, Front bumper and valance. but they are considerably cheaper. Plus i get a discount at Lordco. So there you have it, the whole shpeal. I'll upload some pics later on. When I get the truck washed.
