however I am no mechanical genius. That is where books, manuals and the interwebs come in.
I have an '87 B2000 and am in the very early stages of an engine swap.
My plan is to take the heart of my old '85 Nissan Maxima and a 300zx trany and put it into the Mazda. Why? Because it's there.
I have yet to rebuild my max's VG30E. I am hoping to convert it to a VG30ET of 300zx turbo fame but that's a can of worms for another forum.
anyhoo, that's all for now
Welcome to the site. First off....we are picture whores so post em if you got em. Second... if you need some knowledge regarding a mazda...you are in the right spot. You have body men, suspension experts, fab experts, general mazda knowledge, and everything in between. Ask away and I am sure you will get an answer or twenty.
If you turbo the N/A vg, you wont be able to SAFELY boost too much. Unless you lower the compression ratio with the turbo pistons.
However, the VGs are full of torque. That engine with a maz rearend, you will be able to pull anything and smoke em thru 3rd.
welcome to the scene post up pics
Thats a first I have heard of a VG swap.Sounds cool.Remember we want pics and lots of them
welcome to the scene.. and get pics for us whores

hi all,
So what's the procedure for posting projects like this? A massive all in one progressive thread or broken into sub projects? Between research, part hunting and raising the funds necessary this will take me a long time I fear.
thanks for the welcome.
