Hey everybody!
I'm new to THIS community though I have been on numerous other car sites before and someone may have seen me. I live in houston TX. Have an 87 mazda b2k as well as 8 other vehicles..... I plan on making a show truck of this b2k and so far i have started by rebuilding the engine.
I originally bought the truck for 700 bucks from a kid because he seized the engine. He said when he got it checked out the guy said a piston siezed in the block and it would cost 700 to fix it. It was the crank siezed in the block, not a piston.... Either way, a full rebuild and overhaul was done with forged internals and all to maybe have a bit of fun with.
The truck will be going through stages. So far the engine has been done, next will be the suspension and body drop.... I want to lay rockers on 20's or higher. I have all the tools needed to do it and the skills necessary. I have worked on a few bagged trucks before and was a main sorce of info for problems on the mightyd50 site. I love this little truck, a nice extended cab 5 speed to lay out with blue over white is the way i want her... My only problem is getting the money, hence little steps. Any thing you can tell me that could help would be greatly appreciated, I dont know much about these trucks and am willing to learn.
Welcome to the site!!! Everyone here is awsome and I am sure your questions will be answered. Oh yeah one thing though...we are picture whores so post sum up!!
Welcome bro and you heard right!! PICS!
ok let me pull em from my other site.
Welcome to the site. Lets see some pics.
Still dont expect much. Stock they are sub-90 hp. To have fun with the stocker, its gotta be boosted, or a lot of money dropped into it. Or just do a weekend swap with a V-engine and call it done. (not to mention, you can find used V8s for cheap as hell) Just dont expect a 13 second truck...
I have a brand new aristo 2JZ engine i planned on dropping in with the trans harness and all butdecided against. LOL Do yall have a gallery section i can upload these pics to?
You have a garage. Also you can post directly into the post.
Ok my garage has a few pics of the truck and 1 of the engine bay after i ripped out the heart of the truck. Low image limit.... and i cant access photobucket here at work so the rest will have to wait until I get home.
Looks like you have a good starting point.
