As everyone keeps saying, this has got to be the best online automotive community. I missed it and want to be a part again.

I have crossed over into the darkside and bought a new Ford / Mazda but it still says its a B on the badge right?

Anyways I've seen discussions about people wanting to swap out their f series motors for b series (ex bpt). I have been heavily involved in a few miata and 323 builds and know these smaller engines pretty well ao if you have questions ask away.

I hav'nt done any real work on a b series (motor) in a b series (truck) But I can tell you they LOVE boost and ther'se a bit of aftermarket for them, mostly for the miata version (which is basicly the same as the fwd).

And BJ from what my pre-purchase research tells me the 5sp manuals are a mazda box so there truly is a teeny bit of mazda in it. The 3L is ok too it can pass more than just old ladies with walkers and gets upwards of 26mpg.
