Hey guys,

I'm new to your forum, but an old time hot rodder. I recently acquired an '84 B2000 longbed from my grandpa. It has 84,000 original miles and is an automatic.

I'm wanting to put a set of 18" Titan or QX56 wheels on it, but I wasn't sure whether there ws enough room to hog out the centers to fit over the axle hubs? Has anyone done this or can anyone tell me if it's possible? I'm sure I'll be asking plenty stupid questions in the near future. Thanks in advance!

you can have the rims machined out or just grind the hub tabs off and they'll go right on.

woohoo, another pre 86 here. welcome to the site. i believe the wheels will fit. ask devb22 on here what he had to do to get them to fit on his 89. if the center needs to be bored than take it to a machine shop and have them bore it.

check out my garage bro.

Thanks for the welcome. It's cool to find the older trucks done up. I am acquainted with the guy that has the two tone grey 84 that is out in MiniTruckin' right now. Super nice/helpful guy. I checked out your garage and your old schooler looks pretty tight. I have to make this one run right before I can "pimp it out" as my 12 year old puts it. I told him, "Rest assured that if I'm drivin' it, it will be pimp!" LOL! Keep on draggin!

Right. I know Brian. Met him at Owensboro a couple of years ago at the Showcase Supertruck Nats. Nice guy.
