I purchased this B2600 6 yeras ago.It has been a work in progree from the instalation of the Ford 289 to the orginal Mazda 4x4 drive train with all working and the drive train holding up well .
Presently I am installing a NEW Ford 302 345 HP create engine. The only sad point is the truck has been a sleeper except for the shaved gas tankl and door handles. The carb now comes thru the hood and I will have to use a cowl induction hood.

so how far are you on the engine?
i have only seen a few mazdas with cowl hoods. if you do it right it will look awesome!

welcome to the bscene, sounds like a kewl project! have you tried a low rise intake....that might keep the carb under the hood....
