Did you reuse the same notch and just weld up the crack? If so, you are just asking for problems. The notch wasn't sufficient in the first place, It should wrap at least 2 sides of the frame, and even better 3 sides like the belltech notch. Those flat plate type notch's are for mini's at the very most, I wouldn't even trust one there either.

At least weld it all the way around and box it in with the steel your buddy gave you....

Yea we reuse old notch and re welded it all and boxed back side n welded.. Its really nice and strong. My kids moved my camera some where

It was shaved and I got a new bed.. Since im going back to factory with the truck.

thats a pic i have to show my brother. He notched his truck and didnt box the inside and I say it adds strength by boxing it in. My .02
