From all my experiences the 14 Bolts are around 3.5" & DANA 70s are 4". If you don't know which axle you have here's a pic of a DANA 70 & GM 14 Bolt diff covers to help identify it, alsoo the DANA 70 has 10 bolts on the cover & the 14 Bolt has 14.

ok i have a dana 70 then because i measured a 4 inch diameter and i just looked at it 10 bolts and the cover looked like the picture above. Thanks for your help

Yeah they are, and the Dually axles I've seen are cast "70HD"
