Looks like 22s shouldn't be a problem if you run the townasty.

Depends on your idea of safe. If you can deal w/ the occasional scrub in the fenderwells and watch out for potholes or bumps while your turning then its safe.

It looks to me like if the fenders are rolled he shouldn't have much if any rubbing.

I meant if he turns the wheels and hits a dip, I would be carefull so that the tires dont slam into the fender while the wheel is turned.
