Laying the front of a 73-89 C30 on 22s

Hey guys... I don't have much time to work on my own stuff, and haven't done any C10s or C30s like I have. I just finished putting drop spindles and plates/cups in the truck. Still have a long long way to go before laying. Are you guys recessing the bag into the control arms or how you going about getting all the extra travel??? Any pics?

is that just for 22's that you need to sink the bag into the lower arm?

I had a flat plate on the upper mount, and had the lower mount resessed into the lower control arm, and 3" drop spindles.

could you just mount the bag to the lower without a cup?

nope not enough, the guy that bagged my truck, took an 8 inch piece of pipe and made a hue bag cup and recessed it into the lower, looks good layed out u cant even see the bag

How far do you recess the bag into the lower arm?

mine was like 1.5"-2" or so
