you strecthed them out wards 3-1/2 out wards on each side? how much did you raise them up ? if you didnt how close are you to hitting the top of the fender when you lay out ?

about those injection mouldings , if you make the fenders as wide as the widest wheelsetup you need and a little wider all over at the seem so it sticks more then an inch over the boltholes in the bed you can cut them down to every size you need and put the flange (you can watertjet those from a flat piece of the same flexible material exactly to fit ) with the boltholes inside with 2 component glue , if you make injectionmouldings the inside of the finisched product is as smooth as the outside and the 2 component glue they make these days is impossible to part after you stuck it together
