My plan is to eventually bag my truck, but for now to get it a little lower can i install front springs out of a 1/2 ton? Will this lower it? Will it ride better ( i don't haul or tow anything) In the back can i remove some leaf springs?

im not sure about the front srpings, but you shouldnt have a problem with pulling out a couple leafs and you could also install (or make) some drop shackles in the rear.

Yup...1500 springs won't hold the weight. How are you dropped now? I want to ask that before I go into all the ways you could drop it...lol...

If you want to go an inch or so cutting half a coil rung is a possible solution. 1/2 a rung = ~1".

Any more than a 1" drop from cutting a coil will, IMHO, screw up the ride characteristics of any coil.
