Here's the freshly rebuilt 454 that's .30 over with a forged rotating assembly and a .680 lunati cam.

What are the duration numbers @ .050" for that cam you installed? Roller?

Correction* .554 lift at valve, duration at .050" is 227 in. 233 ex.

That will be a good mild cam for your truck.. and still have a better sounding idle.. just got my boat running in Sept. 496BBC with a Comp Solid roller.. 271/282 duration @ .050.. sounds killer! here is a link to youtube after getting the timing set.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7t--R8pUPM
