I am installing a new weber carb on my 1980 sundowner. I am trying to determine if i need a fuel pressure regulator on my fuel line to limit my fuel psi to the 3.0 specified by weber. . . Does anyone know if the old 1980 fuel pumps are too high pressure? The carb that was previously on this truck was an original nikki. Thanks for any advice!

Since nobody else has replied, I will. I would install the Weber without it.The stock fuel pump isn't designed to supply a lot of pressure.
I doubt it will be a problem, but if you run into issues after install, consider a regulator at that point.
