80's mazda b2000 2.8 Chevy v6 ??

Anyone out there ever tried to put a 2.8L Chevy v6 into the 80's mazda b2000 ?? If so, will the oil pan have to be modified to clear the steering linkage ?? HELP !! Thanx, Marilyn..
