bag cup tubing diameter?

What diameter/wall thickness tube steel do I want for bag cups? I know companies make them but I live 2 minutes from a steel supply yard, and prefer to make own as I don't want the car to lay frame

4.5'' OD usually with a 1/4'' wall thickness. Some guys will get 4'' schedule 40 pipe and its nearly the same thing.
