Not sure why my old thread is not working...probably lost during the migration but here is my 2003 4runner i have been off and on working on for 5 years. Frame has been built in one form or another for 5 years. Took a break during a move back to Orlando and started the teardown in January of this year. Cut off the 4th version of my IFS to replace with a setup custom built by Jimmy @ Jimmy's Rod & Custom in Edgewater, FL. Everything else has been bone by me and i still have a ton more work to do before its drivable. I was finally able to have it out at slamfest after a 9 yr hiatus from having a truck since selling the taco. Specs are as follows
Full 2x3 chassis
Still getting used to this format
2x3 cahssis
Supra IRS
Custom IFS built on pre taco drop spindles
Slams up front
Shockwaves in the rear
wilwoods at all 4 corners
stock 4.0 with mild upgrades and a custom intake manifold
X-Runner oil pan for clearance and to drop motor lower
Soon to have:
Accuair
Engine driven compressor
Needs driveshaft, axles, intake, and fuel cell to be drivable
Looks great. All the hard work will pay off in the end. You will be able to step back and say I built that, and be able to get the respect for the build. Nice work.
seen it at Slamfest, awesome ride man!
Wasn't expecting to see a newer body style 4runner. Can't be many of those laid out. Looks awesome man.
I say that I realize the title says 2003 4runner lol.
