auto problems

I have a 98 4x4 crew cab 3500 that has a problem with head lights. When you turn on the lights after a period of time the head lights go off. Just the head lights every thing else stays on. After they have been off for a while they come back on. I'm thinking there must be a curcuit breaker or relay some where heating up and switching off. Has anyone had this problem or know where to start looking?Thanks auto problems
