anybody ever put a rotary in a 84 or earlier mazda b series?

i always thought that the REPU(rotary engine pick-up) and the 84 body styles shared the same frame, but i measured up a rotary engine that my buddy has, twin turbo 13b and it seems to be about 4 inches too wideand i know there is a 79 mazda truck on here that says he has a bridgeport rotary in it, but i havent seen him online in like 10 years

anyway, any help on this idea would be greatly appreciated!
